Demonstrators gathered in the school administration building parking lot in Hanover County on May 11 during a rally against the district’s first equity audit, the teaching of critical race theory and COVID-19 safety precautions.
More than 50 community members attended a recent Bedford County School Board meeting where officials said critical race theory is not being taught in schools there.
