WASHINGTON—On Thursday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) sent a letter to Texas’ Northside Independent School District (NISD) demanding answers on why fifth-grade children were subject to a shockingly radicalracial exercise where students were segregated based on the color of their hair.
Reports indicate that teachers at Leon Spring Elementary School in San Antonio, Texas, conducted a social experiment where dark-haired 10-year-olds were labeled as “privileged” and light-haired ones as “not as intelligent”. The students were later required to watch a graphic video containing images of dead black children.
“I am alarmed by recent reports that Northside Independent School District (NISD) teachers conducted a radical social experiment on fifth-grade students without parental consent or knowledge,” wrote Rep. Roy to NISD Superintendent Dr. Brian Woods. “Any attempts by teachers to override parental authority to infuse radical critical race theory-based ideology into school curricula must be immediately addressed.”
