Red Deer, AB – The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens have advanced to the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Final Four with a four set victory over the Lethbridge College Kodiaks (25-14, 25-12, 23-25 and 25-23).

“We came out on fire. Everything was clicking for us,” said Chris Wandler, Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Volleyball Interim Head Coach. “We played phenomenal first contact volleyball, put the ball away really efficient and we were really feeling it.”

A quick start from the Queens set the tone in the first set. With early service pressure from middle McKenna Olson (two match aces), the home team jumped ahead early (5-0) and rode that momentum to a 25-14 decision.

The Kodiaks kept it close in the early stages (5-5) of the second set, but then the home team went on a 10-5 run. The RDP Queens kept the pressure on and sealed a 25-12 second set victory.
